Committed to education and formation as a life long process in partnership with parishes and schools
The Education Service has been established to support those involved in education; to address current and future needs and faithfully express and promote the Church’s pastoral mission in education.
The Service works collaboratively and in active consultation both with those who are involved professionally and those whose contribution is a voluntary commitment to the Church’s work.
In doing so the Diocesan Education Service:

assists the Bishop in determining diocesan education policy and supports its implementation

provides a range of courses for those working with schools and those leading educational activity in our parishes

liaises and consults with national and local public bodies and church agencies to promote, manage and protect Catholic education throughout the Diocese

provides professional advice and information on a range of topics connected to education provision
The staff are always available at the end of the telephone or face to face for confidential conversation whether to simply listen, to encourage or to offer advice.
