What is the Forum?
The Education Forum brings together all authorised providers of adult education in the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle.
Meetings take place twice a year. Each year the Forum invites someone from within and someone outside of the Diocese to speak at either meeting. The first part of the meeting is spent listening to a presentation on a current issue influencing educational provision within the Diocese. The second part of the meeting is given to any member agency wishing to address and discuss a current issue with the whole Forum relating to their work.
Meetings are organised by the Education Service and chaired by the Chair of the Education Board.
The Forum aims to:
- inform and be informed by the Bishop’s vision for education
- support, affirm and challenge diocesan education activity
